Hey, I'm Isak.

I spent years on stage before I wrote my first line of PHP — juggling, acrobatics and magic, at dinner shows and variety nights. It turns out hosting a conference is the same job: keep the room with you, fill the gaps, and stay calm when something breaks on stage.

These days I'm a fullstack developer based in Stockholm, mostly in the Laravel and PHP world. I speak at conferences about legacy code, patterns, and the lessons that only show up once code has been running in production for a few years.

In August 2026 I hosted my first conference — MC for Laravel Live Denmark, running the main stage for the day. I'd very much like to do more of that.

I also co-host the podcast Kasta nytt undantag with Mikko Lauhakari — a weekly Swedish show about software development and developer life (the name is Swedish for throw new Exception, because of course it is). And I write about whatever I've been wrestling with lately.
